Bells Vapour Rub 50g is an ointment used to temporarily relieve nasal congestion, catarrh and coughing associated with common cold and flu.
Key Active Ingredients:
- Menthol (5% w/w): Triggers cold receptors in your nasal lining to create a cooling sensation of clearer airflow.
- Camphor (5% w/w): Acts as a mild local analgesic and cough suppressant.
- Eucalyptus Oil (1.5% w/w): Provides aromatic vapours that help loosen mucus and clear nasal passages.
- Turpentine Oil: Functions as a rubefacient to induce a local warming sensation on the skin.
How to Use:
- Topical Rub (Adults & Children over 2 or 3 years): Apply a small amount to the chest, throat, and back, gently massaging it into the skin. Applying it right before bedtime helps promote better sleep.
- Steam Inhalation (Adults Only): Melt 2 teaspoons of the ointment into a bowl of hot (not boiling) water. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the medicated vapours for 5 to 10 minutes. Never reheat or microwave the mixture.
