HOW IT WORKS

Eustachian tube dysfunction –The Otovent device is an autoinflation device designed to open the Eustachian tubes, which connect the middle ear to the back of the nose.

Fluid drainage: When a patient inflates the balloon by blowing through the nasal applicator, the pressure helps open the tubes, allowing trapped fluid in the middle ear to drain down the back of the throat.

Pressure equalization: This process is also used to help equalize pressure in the middle ear, which is beneficial for those who experience discomfort during flights or scuba diving.
