Description
DAKTARIN Cream is a medicine used for treating athlete’s foot, tinea, ringworm and thrush infections of the skin caused by fungi, including yeast. Your doctor or pharmacist may have recommended DAKTARIN Cream for another reason.
Daktarin cream works by destroying the fungus and associated bacteria which may be present. Do not use Daktarin : If you are allergic to miconazole.
Depending on the severity of your infection it will take anywhere fromtwo to six weeks for the cream to fully clear up the infection. Nail infections usually take longer than skin infections. Continue using Daktarin cream for at least 7 days after all symptoms have disappeared.
Side Effects
DAKTARIN Cream is usually well tolerated. However, it may sometimes cause a skin reaction such as a rash, redness, swelling, itching or a burning sensation. Do not be alarmed by this list of side effects. You may not experience any of them.
Wash and dry the measuring spoon after use. If you wear dentures, as well as applying Daktarin Oral Gel to the mouth, apply a thin layer of the Gel to the dentures in the evening and leave it on overnight. Make sure you wash your dentures before putting them back in, in the morning. Avoid contact with eyes.
