Description
Permethrin 5% cream is a topical scabies treatment. It works by killing the mites that cause a scabies infection and usually only requires one application to completely clear the mites. Often one application is enough to treat the condition completely but sometimes a second one may be required a week later.
It is normal for it to take up to 2-3 weeks (and sometimes up to six weeks) for the itch to go completely after scabies mites have been killed.
HOW TO USE PERMITE CREAM
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
CAUTION.
If Permethrin Cream comes into contact with dressings, clothing, and bedding, the fabric can be easily ignited with a naked flame. You should keep away from fire and naked flames when using this product.
