Description

Budecort 100 MCG Inhaler is a corticosteroid which is used to relieve inflammation in conditions like asthma and inflammatory bowel disease. Use with caution in the patients with liver disease. Wash your mouth after inhaling this medicine to prevent infections.

General warnings

Infections

This medicine will decrease the immune response of the body and increase the risk of infections. This medicine is not recommended in the patients with systemic fungal infection.

Diabetes

This medicine may increase the blood glucose levels and worsen the symptoms of diabetes. Use with caution in the patients with diabetes and dose adjustments are to be made based on the clinical condition.

Impaired liver function

This medicine is not recommended in patients with liver injury. The dose should be reduced based on the clinical condition. The hypothalamic pituitary adrenocortical (HPA) axis function should be monitored in these patients.

Decrease bone density

This medicine may decrease the bone density by decreasing the absorption of calcium. Use with caution in the postmenopausal women due to the risk of developing bone injuries.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Budecort 100 MCG Inhaler, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
