The active substance contained in the bronchial primrose root (especially the primate saponins) has both expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect. Bronchicum is also suitable for children. Instructions for use
Dry unproductive cough can be a sign of many dangerous diseases. Self-diagnosis is strictly prohibited. Before using the drug, it is necessary to perform a comprehensive examination in a medical institution. It is important to exclude an allergic reaction, infection with tuberculosis.
Dosage Bronchicum syrup is selected individually depending on the severity of symptoms and physical characteristics of the patient. If it is not possible to consult a doctor, then treatment should be carried out according to the instructions.
Cough treatment in children is more often performed with syrup. The volume of the drug is measured by a special measuring cup.
Single dose dosage:
from 6 to 12 months – up to 2.5 ml in the morning and evening;
1-2 years – 2.5 ml 3 times a day;
2-6 years – 5 ml 2 times a day;
6-12 years – 5 ml 3 times a day.
Bronchicum cough lozenges are usually prescribed to patients older than 10-12 years. According to the instructions, you need to dissolve 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
